Some things should be forgotten. Like that Kobe made an album.

Maaaad funny.

Ginnette Powell @caffeinehusky 02/17/2010 at 8:22 am

Great one! Thanks I needed that!

Mozz 02/17/2010 at 8:32 am

Chair creaks ftw.

The new site is excellent and it’s good to hear that hiphop shall overcome even bad ideas.

DJ Diva 02/17/2010 at 11:19 am

oh that was hilarious…Nil right? (Damn I crack myself up)

kaptaink 02/17/2010 at 11:57 am

I feel certain that I’m your only reader from the Canadian pacific northwest that is female, white, 40ish and has never really ever listened to rap or hip hop.

All the same, I’m so glad you are going to keep on creating. I love your commentary, I love the style of your videos and you are part of my highly selective RSS feed. And now, Nil Doctrine is also in that feed.

Good luck with the little hater and I look forward to more from you in the future.

Twendi 02/17/2010 at 1:06 pm

Don’t be so sure Kaptaink! I am female, white, turning 40 this year, but from NW Arkansas instead of NW Canada. I’ve also listened to a little rap and a little more hip hop, but not as much as you would expect from a Jay Smooth fan.

Jay, you are inspiring, smart & funny. Keep it up!

“Nil”doctrine?
My brotha, remember when folks would rock the Mikes instead of Nikes? Please forgive me for making the connection, but you did just change the first letter of your domain.
I use “nil” to mean nothing and “doctrine” is a lesson. Putting those together doesn’t represent what I get from your work. The “ill”ness was more accurate in my neighborhood. I’m sure you’ve thought of this anyway and have some creative reasoning behind it.
With that, I’ll still be checking in and spreading your aprox. 3 min teachings to my networks.

My mom is female, white, about to be 50. She doesn’t watch your videos, but I show her.
I am brown.

I love you today even more than yesterday. And so many giggles at those who couldn’t see that this was just lucky timing for something you’d been planned. Cacophonous ignominy FTMW.

I’m Black. Not that it matters, but I see everyone else is doing the racial roll call in the comments and I don’t break protocol.

Ron 02/17/2010 at 6:14 pm

I wish you’d made a tumblr. :)

alice 02/18/2010 at 12:36 am

Silly rabbit! You can’t outrun the little hater. He’s calling from inside the house! Ahhhhhhhh! Naw, but seriously, the only way to defeat the little hater is to love him. It’s one of those…whatchamacallit…paradoxes, yeah, that’s it, paradoxes. Or is it paradoces, like matrices? Ok, I better stop typing, I’m feeling way too silly tonight. *big hug*

RIRedinPA 02/18/2010 at 7:17 am

TNC sent me over here…you won a bookmark…and I don’t even like hip hop…

Michelle 02/18/2010 at 9:34 am

love your videos, Jay, and glad to see hip hop isn’t dead :D

DanYell 02/18/2010 at 3:23 pm

Love yer work.
I was wondering if you could be a dear and add the subscribe feature that you have on ill doc to this blog so I don’t miss a beat.
I use the google reader and on nil doc it only lets you rss feed.

Thanks in advance.

DOWN WITH THE LITTLE HATER!!!!! Operation ignore the Little Hater maybe?

DB 02/23/2010 at 3:14 pm

glad to see you’re still here. maybe the best antidote to the new Haiti video is the original anti-We Are the World: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aopKk56jM-I

…and maybe we can dream of an Artists United Against Apartheid re-forming around challenging Israel and supporting the Palestinian call for boycott divestment and sanctions (http://www.bdsmovement.net/).

I’ve been looking all over for this stuff. Happily I discovered it in Google.

lol many of the remarks bloggers post really are a bit spacey, from time to time i really think whether they are actually scan through the content articles and posts before giving a comment or whether they only gloss over the blog post title and write the first opinion that jumps inside their brain. either way, it really is helpful to read realistic commentary every once in awhile in contrast to exactly the same, old opinion which i usually notice on the web.

I didn’t understand the concluding part of your article, could you please explain it more?

Gourmet Food 03/12/2010 at 8:12 pm

thanks,

Jonah Pereyda 03/12/2010 at 9:07 pm

From the 1st episode to nowadays has to pass over a fair clump of time. I can’t call up if the time has ever been formally stated, but regarding the years Ed is at it’s to be awaited that he might do a small bit of evolving. In regards to Mustang, I seem to too recollect him making a lecture about being able to protect foot soldiers, and then going on about how that signified the exclusive way to look out for everyone was to make it to the top. I don’t recall for sure whether this lived in the manga as well. But since the anime hasn’t added all that very much recent material, I suspect that this scene plausibly sprung up there as well.
